JAPANESE-STYLE ACUPUNCTURE FOR ADOLESCENT ENDOMETRIOSIS PAIN
US randomised, sham-controlled pilot study found that 14 out of 18 participants experienced an average of 4.8 point or 62% reduction
in pain after four weeks compared to 1.4 point reduction in the control group. Participants received 16 treatments over 8 weeks.

Acupuncture for the treatment of chronic painful peripheral diabetic neuropathy: a long-term study.
Forty-six diabetic patients with chronic painful peripheral neuropathy were treated with acupuncture analgesia to determine its efficacy
and long-term effectiveness. 77% showed significant improvement in their primary and/or secondary symptoms. These patients were
followed up for a period of 18-52 weeks with 67% were able to stop or reduce their medications significantly.

In the first such clinical trial of its kind, researchers at Duke University Medical Center have found that acupuncture is more effective at
reducing nausea and vomiting after major breast surgery than the leading medication.
